Dr Laura Truong

Specialist Orthodontist

Born and raised in Brisbane, Dr Laura’s interest in art and science led her to pursue a career in orthodontics. Dr Laura completed a Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours) and Graduate Diploma of Dentistry at Griffith University and completed her specialist qualifications at the University of Queensland obtaining a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Orthodontics). Known for her calm and caring approach, Dr. Laura takes pride in creating confident smiles for her patients. Outside the clinic, she loves spending quality time with her family and friends, scaling rock walls, and being an avid foodie.

Dr Faye Goodyear

Specialist Orthodontist

Dr Goodyear gained her Dental Degree from Guy’s Hospital London, her Membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgeons in Glasgow, and completed her Masters in Orthodontics and a BSc (Hons) degree in psychology at the University of London.

After a decade of both private general practice and public health experience, Faye bought Suite 16 of Toowong Terraces in 2016 and redesigned the new contemporary fit out herself with the help of her father, a retired architect.

With a taste for adventure (having been a bungy jump instructor in her twenties), Faye enjoys getting out on her bike and is a keen competitive road cyclist and she can be found riding early most weekday mornings. On the weekends she loves spending time with her husband and children.

Rachel Kaeser

Practice Manager

Rachel is our awesome Practice Manager who has been with Toowong Orthodontics for 25 years. With a wealth of orthodontic knowledge, she likes to jump into the surgery or the front desk to help wherever and whenever she can. Rachel is an incredibly empathetic and supportive person who encourages growth for all our staff members. When she isn’t doing the gruelling paperwork and behind-the-scenes stuff Rach is learning cello and acoustic guitar and spending lots of time with her dogs, Bentley and Biscuit.

Madelen Mejias

Oral Health Therapist

Maddie is our Oral Health Therapist, having graduated from the University of Sydney 2019. She works alongside Dr Goodyear seeing patients for both aligner and braces adjustment appointments, fitting aligners, braces on and off, and teeth whitening. Maddie joined the practice in 2021 and has become a firm favourite of our younger patients with her bubbly personality and gentle manner. Outside of work, Maddie loves spending time with her Husband and fur babies, reading books and crafts.

Tanya

Head Dental Assistant

Tanya is the Head Dental Assistant at Toowong Orthodontics. Having worked as a Dental Assistant for over 30 years in Australia, across multiple states in America and Spain, Tanya brings a calm and reassuring presence to the clinic and is able to assist patient’s with her knowledge and experience. Outside of work Tanya enjoys spending time with her children, exploring the great outdoors and has a strong passion for photography.

Aurora is our bubly and ever-helpful dental assistant, always ready with a smile and a hand to make your visit smooth and comfortable. When she’s not in the clinic, Aurora loves getting outdoors – whether it’s camping, hiking, fishing, or exploring the wonders of marine life, she’s always up for an adventure.

Ruby

Head Receptionist

Ruby is our highly experienced Head Receptionist with over 8 years of admin experience. She is a down to earth valued team member who does her best to help you with any enquiry you may have. Outside of work, Ruby is a movie buff, enjoys the beach and loves cats.
