Definition of “Business Day”

A Business day is classed as Monday to Friday 9am – 4pm (notification of cancellation after 4pm will be classified as received on the next business day).

Saturday, Sunday and Public holidays are not classed as Business Days for cancellations/ rescheduling/ no-show’s as our practice admin is closed, which does not allow any time to fill Monday cancellations.

To be clear: Cancellations made on Friday for a Monday appointment will incur a Rescheduling Deposit or Cancellation fee (as per above); Cancellations made on Saturday, Sunday, Public holiday and Monday for a Monday appointment will incur the full appointment fee.

The purpose of our cancellation/rescheduling policy

Toowong Orthodontics provides high quality care to all who choose to engage with our practice. This includes our current clients/patients, wait-listed clients and our team of dental professionals. Our practice is committed to ensuring we have sufficient time available in our schedule for all patients in treatment. When patients do not give sufficient notice of cancellation and/or rescheduling, it means we are unable to have time to fill the appointment by offering it to someone on our waitlist. This appointment then goes unfilled which disadvantages those on our waitlist as well as our practitioners. As a small business, it also means that we continue to incur costs for our overheads and staff wages without the anticipated income.
