Continuity of care

At Toowong Orthodontics you will only ever see the one orthodontist for the entirety of your treatment. Your personal treatment will take place at our centrally located clinic in Toowong with no need to ever travel to another practice location for appointments.

Our team members build genuine relationships with patients who we see over the months of their course of treatment. We’ve created a warm and friendly atmosphere and patients have told us that they chose us for the ‘vibe’ they felt when they walk through our front door.

Toowong Orthodontics underwent a major renovation and the newly built high-tech practice reflects Dr Goodyear’s commitment to be at the cutting edge of orthodontic development by utilising latest techniques and technology. The practice is fully accredited ensuring that it operates at the highest of industry standards. We’re centrally located near Toowong Village for easy access and our warm and friendly environment makes every visit easy and enjoyable.

Dr Faye Goodyear

Specialist Orthodontist

Our Team

Dr Goodyear gained her Dental Degree from Guy’s Hospital London, her Membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgeons in Glasgow, and completed her Masters in Orthodontics and a BSc (Hons) degree in psychology at the University of London. After a decade of both private general practice and public health experience, Faye bought Suite 16 of Toowong Terraces in 2016 and redesigned the new contemporary fit out herself with the help of her father, a retired architect. With a taste for adventure (having been a bungy jump instructor in her twenties), Faye enjoys getting out on her bike and is a keen competitive road cyclist and she can be found riding early most weekday mornings. On the weekends she loves spending time with her husband and children.

Rachel Kaeser

Practice Manager

Rachel is our awesome Practice Manager who has been with Toowong Orthodontics for 25 years. With a wealth of orthodontic knowledge, she likes to jump into the surgery or the front desk to help wherever and whenever she can. Rachel is an incredibly empathetic and supportive person who encourages growth for all our staff members. When she isn’t doing the gruelling paperwork and behind-the-scenes stuff Rach is learning cello and acoustic guitar and spending lots of time with her dogs, Bentley and Biscuit.

Paula Fenelon

Senior Oral Health Therapist

Paula is our Senior Oral Health Therapist who has been working alongside Dr Goodyear for many years, both privately and in the public system. Passionate about dental health, Paula’s main goal is to make sure that our patients’ hygiene is at a high standard throughout their treatment. Paula walks into work every day with a smile on her face and a coffee in hand. She is an integral part of the team whose knowledge and patient interaction is greatly admired. Aside from cleaning teeth, Paula likes to spend time with her family and cook.

Madelen Sanchez

Oral Health Therapist

Maddie is our Oral Health Therapist, having graduated from the University of Sydney 2019. She works alongside Dr Goodyear seeing patients for both aligner and braces adjustment appointments, fitting aligners, braces on and off, and teeth whitening. Maddie joined the practice in 2021 and has become a firm favourite of our younger patients with her bubbly personality and gentle manner. Outside of work, Maddie loves spending time with her Husband and fur babies, reading books and crafts.

Tanya

Head Dental Assistant

Tanya is the Head Dental Assistant at Toowong Orthodontics. Having worked as a Dental Assistant for over 30 years in Australia, across multiple states in America and Spain, Tanya brings a calm and reassuring presence to the clinic and is able to assist patient’s with her knowledge and experience. Outside of work Tanya enjoys spending time with her children, exploring the great outdoors and has a strong passion for photography.

Laura

Dental Assistant

Laura is our gentle and bubbly Dental Assistant, who has over 10 years experience in the dental industry across Brisbane and Sydney. At Toowong Orthodontics, we have nicknamed her Disney for her positive outlook and jolly personality. Outside of work, Laura enjoys spending quality of time with her fiancé and going on walks.

Sarah

Lab Coordinator

Sarah is our bubbly Lab Coordinator who will greet you with a happy smile. Although, Sarah originally started with Toowong Orthodontics as a Receptionist over 7 years ago, you will now find her taking patient records, working away in the Laboratory and assisting in the clinic. When Sarah isn’t at work, she enjoys spending time with her young family including her two dogs, Scout and Ollie.

Ruby

Head Receptionist

Ruby is our highly experienced Head Receptionist with over 8 years of admin experience. She is a down to earth valued team member who does her best to help you with any enquiry you may have. Outside of work, Ruby is a movie buff, enjoys the beach and loves cats.
